German Work Permit/Residence Permit Rules - Anyone help?

Four months.

My gf is pretty sure her WP is agreed by German authorites, that happened about one month ago. Her placement company was contacted to tell them WP was approved. I don't spk German and hers isn't up to government-spk levels yet.

Since then nothing.

Embassy just say wait.

Can someone explain how it works? Do we need res permit too or does WP cover that?

Who can we lobby?

This is not us being impatient, her placemnt from UK uni os for six months sept-feb, it's now oct and WP is said to date from nov, if we ever see it in time.

so it's looking like dec, then xmas hols, suddenly six month placement is only two months left.

What can we do?

Pray?
