Schengen visa for cruise booking made in USA

Hi,
Me and my wife are planning to make a cruise booking which stops at several ports in Spain and I will have to apply for Schengen visa (Spain). The cruise starts from Southampton UK - Europe back to Southampton UK. When i compared the prices for the same cruise in UK and USA, USA prices are lot cheaper.

If i make the booking in dollars (USA) and apply for Schengen visa from UK will there be any problem in granting the Visa.

Please share your thoughts on this.

all you need is valid and genuine travel reservations (hotels, transports etc). if the cruise company allows non US customers to book tickets through US site and the ticket is valid for travel, then should not be issue.
