My Spanish Residence Card

Post by benfares » Fri Jun 05, 2015 10:10 pm

Hi everyone
I am originally from Morocco and I live in Spain. I am divorced with a Spanish daughter. I applied recently for a 5 years Spanish residence for which I was refused. This was because I travelled for more than 6 months in the last 2 years. And now I dont have a status as I am 'illegal' Do I have rights to Appeal under European law as my daughter is Spanish?

Contact Solvit for free help and advice if you feel your rights have been breached.

I do however believe that if the equivalent of Spanish national insurance hasn't been paid for more than 4 months then the residence permit is revoked and they seem to be particularly inflexible with Moroccan nationals. :? I don't know whether this is legal under EU regulations and perhaps other members can advise you.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
