Urgent help required for Paris layover!

Post by rahul7in » Tue Dec 01, 2015 11:29 am

Hi!
I need urgent help and it would be highly appreciated please!
I am from India and my flight is MUMBAI-PARIS-MOSCOW
with a layover at paris for 30 hours for which i have applied for a short stay visa in which i can visit the city.
Now the problem is : while returning the route of my journey is again MOSCOW-PARIS-MUMBAI ,with a layover at paris for 2 hours in the airport itself.
How do i help myself here? can the Schengen visa work for both ways?

Don't worry too much for the 2 hour layover. It typically takes an hour to an hour and a half to get from one gate to another. You won't have the time to step out of the airport. If you are lucky, you may have the time to grab a coffee.

Two years ago, I had a similar flight plan, in my case, switching at Zurich. I had to race through the airport to get from the arrival gate to the departure gate of another flight. I barely had time to admire the airport never mind the city.

In the last few times I have traveled, even if you are switching flights, you have to go through the whole security routine within the airport. As CDG is a hub airport, I would imagine that the queue for the security checks will be quite long.

Enjoy your trip to Paris. Bon vacances.
