Schegen visa -non eea partner

Hi,
I have ILr on my own right in uk and my wife is french. I went to apply for tourist visa with bank statment etc but they asked me if i have marriage certificate to EEA citizen which i had.

They said i can get short stary visa as eea national's partner. do you know how long is duration of this visa? is it longer than normal tourist shcegen visa?

Suggest check on the 'visa section' on the official embassy website for whichever EU country you are referring to.
