How long for French working visa

Hello,

I am an Australian Citizen and want to apply for a French Working Visa. I am hoping someone may have applied lately and can tell me how long it took for the application process.

I know it is three months maximum but as I am travelling a fair bit and need my passport I am hoping I can get a more specific idea.
