ID and certificato di residenza

Post by cllc » Tue Apr 29, 2008 10:15 pm

Hi, I hope someone can help.
I have recently got my italian ID but it is written "documento non valido ai fini dell'espatrio", so do i need to apply for the certificato di residenza to go out and come back italy?
I hold a british passport, and i have my company here.

thanks

No, your residence has nothing to do with this and until you become Italian you cannot use your Italian ID to travel. You can only enter and exit Italy with your valid UK passport.
