Spouse of American working in Germany visa question

My spouse is currently working in Germany with a residence and work visa. I was wondering about my work rights in Germany, and if I'm allowed to work with/under their visa? Or do I need to get my own?

I think from memory you need ur own visa to work tho I'd wait for others
