Schengen tourist Visa for My Mother ( Non UK Resident)

Hello Experts,

Me & My wife are British citizens.
My Mother is an Indian Citizen and holds a 5-year UK Visitor visa valid till December 2026 and she is In India right now.
My mother is coming over to UK in the summer and we were planning to take her to Swiss / France when she is here.
I had applied twice for her Schengen tourist Visa via the German embassy in India in the past and it was rejected for the reason " The flight tickets should start/end from the Residence country ( India)."

So could you please let me know if we have other options to apply for Schengen tourist visa for Non-UK Citizen who hold the UK Visitor Visa?

She cannot apply for a Schengen visa as she's in the UK as a visitor, not a resident.
All the documentation lists for Schengen visa require a BRP.

I was not planning to apply for my Mother's Visa in UK.I will apply in India .
But the issue is , last two times

But I had booked the tickets to Germany from UK, as we were planning to take her with us to Germany from UK.

What stops you from booking an India - UK - Germany flight, so you can join her on UK leg?

Was that clearly explined in the application?

And why did you show air tickets at all? The German Embassy does advise not to book tickets until a visa has been issued. If you really wanted to show travel arrangements, you could have shown a non-binding reservation or potential itinerary.

Also, did you show proof of traveling with her from the UK to Germany and back? Did you show your mother´s itinerary traveling to the UK and from there back to India, showing that the requested travel dates for Germany fell into that time frame?

That just means you have to do what they want. The fact that she has a UK valid visa has no weight on the Schengen visa outcome. You must always remember that having another country visa doesn't guarantee entry to a different one.

You could even go to a country many times and one day you could be refused a visa for that same country.
