schengen visa France

Post by PaulM » Wed May 13, 2009 1:10 am

I was wondering about something. In the past I have had numerous Schengen visa, some from France. I am now living, for the last 2 years, in the UK on an Ancestry Visa. Anyway would like to visit France for a holiday. My mother's cousin is French and lives in Paris (he has invited me over a few times). Would it be best to try and get the visa furnishing the embassy with his information or to do so in my own capacity? Does having a relative in France add much weight basically? Thanks

You would need to apply normal, instead of booking a hotel you would need to show them you will be staying at your relatives ie their address, a letter from them inviting you etc.

If i was you i would apply based on my own, its much easier and quicker
