Schengen visa application at the french embassy

Hi,

I'm the spouse of an EU national and submitted my schengen visa application to the french embassy this afternoon. I'm Lebanese and the immigration officer said that they'd send me a letter after 3-4 weeks about when i can come to pick up the visa.

I was wondering, does anyone know if I have to make another appointment to get the visa - basically, there are absolutely no slots available for June - in which case do i have to wait for ~6 weeks to be able to go back and get the visa? Or is there a different procedure for when you go back to get the visa?

Any insights would be great - I am seriously panicking because i've booked the holiday for July and am worried that i won't get the appointment/visa back in time for then.

They will send you a letter with date and time for you to bring your passport so you dont have to book another appointment, It is however essential that you attend that appointment or else you can face some delays.
