Tourist Visa For Malta Question

Post by HMRB » Tue Jul 21, 2009 12:03 pm

I am going to be applying for Malta tourist visa. My work permit is stamped on my old passport which is attached to my new passport. I have travelled to France and US and didnt have any problem obtaning a visa.

But Malta embassy says (on their guidelines) that they want the visa stamped on the new passport. Is this compulsory or can I get away with the visa being on my old passport?

Also does anyone know what the procedure is to transfer work permit from an old passport to a new one?

It depends on what country you are in. You did not say.

How are they attached? Are they sealed with some official seal or something?

I am in the UK on a work permit (Indian origin) and want to apply for a Malta tourist visa. The old & new passports are just stapled together by my embassy.
