Thai pasport holder, Resident UK, Need EU visa?

Post by Clueless » Wed Apr 21, 2010 10:13 pm

Can't find an answer anywhere to this question.

I am a Thai passport holder, hold indefinite leave to remain in UK and been living and working legally in UK for past 7 years. Can anybody advise if I require a visa for travel for short holidays in EU and if so what document is needed.

I am aware of Shengen Visas, however, being resident in UK where do I apply as it is supposed to be issued from the consulate of the country where you intend to spend the majority of time or the initial counrty you arrive in Europe?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Not the country in Europe, but the country within the Schengen Zone. Therefore, if you intend to go to Italy for example, you apply to the Italian Embassy.

The UK is not in the Schengen Zone and therefore you will need the appropriate visa for your holidays. As Wanderer tried to show you, all of the information on documentation etc is readily available on this site if you just look....
