HELP: Dependant visa for EU for unmarried couple

Post by Dilbert » Sat Aug 07, 2010 9:18 am

Hello,

I am a Turkish citizen and I have been working/living in EU for more than 6 years by now in countries Poland, Romania, Hungary and Holland. I have a partnership with a EU Citizen (Polish) during this period for 5 years by now, in which we lived together for around 4 years. I am financially very healthy with bank accounts in those countries, which can be proven with statement in necessary.

I have been working for the same company during these 6 years and have been expatriated to those countires afore mentioned. By the begining of this month, I quit my job in Holland to move to Slovakia where my partner is currently working and living. Even though I am currently holding a schengen residence permit from Holland for next 5 years, I have been informed that it is going to be canceled since I am not working there anymore. Expectation is that it will be invalid by end of this August. I will also not have any visa from Slovakia for the time being since I do not have a job there.

My question is if there is anyway that I can obtain a residence or any other long term stay permits in Slovakia or on EU level provided the fact that I have lived, worked in EU, financially healthy, and I will be living with EU citizen partner in Slovakia but no job for the time being.

Much obliged for your help
Regards
