Finland Permanent Residence

I entered Finland as a student in OULU University.The course is 2 years. I intend to do a PHD consisting of 3 years.

My wife is here with me as a student dependant visa. We are expecting our first child in November 2010.

Will I have permanent residence after 5 years or European long residence status after 5 years on my student status.

What benefits will I be able to claim for me, as a couple or for the baby?

Will my baby have any special rights as being born on Finnish soil.

We both are Pakistani nationals, non-EU.
