Asking about Germany

hello guys

I am a non-EU Family Member of an EU national and I have Romanian residence card for family members for 5 years,
I am Jordanian, and carry Jordanian passport
My wife Romanian, And is currently working in Germany, we got offer to work in factory electricity, my wife and I,

My question is, is permissible to work in Germany, I know there is no problem for my wife to work there because she is from Romania in the EU,
Is it permissible to work in Germany with my wife If yes, what is required of me what papers I need in Germany?

Does she have the matching permit that needs to be granted by the German employment agency (Arbeitsagentur)? If so, what is the exact title of this permit? As a Romanian national, her right to work is restricted by transition regulations and she can only work after the employment agancy has granted her authorization.

If your wife is working legally and with authorization, she should be able to obtain a "registration certificate" (Bescheinigung über das Aufenthaltsrecht) as a worker, according to § 5 (1) of the Freizügigkeitsgesetz/EU, from her local alien administration office (Ausländerbehörde, ABH).

If she is a worker, exercising her treaty rights, then you have the right to follow her, that is given by European Directive 2004/38/EC. (The German Freizügigkeitsgesetz/EU is the national transposition of this directive.)

As your Romanian residence card most likely doesn't allow you to enter Schengen countries (Romania not being a part of Schengen yet), you would have to apply for an entry visa from your nearest German embassy or consulate. They should issue you this for free and in an expedited process. You will need to proof that your wife is truly exercising treaty rights in Germany (thus she should get above mentioned Bescheinigung from her ABH) and that you really are her husband, so provide your original marriage certificate.

Once in Germany, you can obtain a "residence card" (Aufenthaltskarte für Familienangehörige von Unionsbürgern) as the family member of an EU citizen.

You will usually always need a visa if you travel alone, as you cannot claim any EU Treaty Rights if you don't accompany your EU family member.

Independent of any legal requirements, you would probably have trouble getting onto a plane anyway, if you don't hold a visa; even in the circumstances where one isn't required. If your wife is German, you can obtain visas for Germany without having to pay a fee, so it's always best to get one.
