Moving to GERMANY as an EU citizen with a German spouse

Hello everyone

I just need some information on moving to Germany as an EU citizen myself and my German spouse.

1) Do I need to register myself once in Germany and with who?

2) Do I need to take out health insurance before moving to Germany or is there some special agreement between EU countries?

3) What else do I need to know as an EU citizen before moving to another EU country in terms of state pensions, tax, health insurance etc..

I would appreciate if someone can point me into the right direction before taking the plunge.

If you have more specific questions, you might want to ask those.

As a citizen of an EU country, you can just move to another EU country. There is nothing you have to do before you go. Once you are there, you can be required to register with the city hall if citizens of the country are also required to register (you will have to do this in Germany).

Not sure if you need to register with the AuslanderAmt any more.
