How to apply for Schengen (Swizz) tourist visa from UK?

I am in an indian citizen, presently in UK with a valid business visa for 6 months (expiry sept 2011). My family is with me with a tourist visa in UK (6 month validity). I am planning to visit Swizerlant next month (april) with tourist visa (for me & wife). How shoudl I apply from UK. my questions are:

1) do we need a visa to visit switzerland if we have 6month valid UK visa?
2) if we need visa, can we apply from UK (london Switz embassy)?
3) for tourist visa what documents are required?

Not sure if UK-Business visa holders are eligible for Schengen visa.
Do check with the VFS centre by calling them.
