Spouse traveling to Germany

Post by domjones2 » Fri Aug 05, 2011 12:55 pm

Hi,
I am sure this has been asked before, but there seem to be different responses and I am quite confused, and therefore looking for help.
I am married to a UK citizen, living in the UK on a 2 year spouse visa. I am planning to travel to Germany with my wife for a 3 day holiday.
The German Embassy website mentions if you have a resident visa in the UK, I would not need to apply for a Schengen visa for upto 90 days stay.
So does this mean I am able to travel to Germany with my wife without a visa if its for 3 days?

Thanks for your help in advance

The German Embassy website clearly states "Residence Card" (that's the actual name of the document) and they also provide picture examples.
