Travelling to Spain

Post by Langsky » Mon Jul 26, 2021 10:15 am

Hello,

I’m the family member of an EU national and I have an EU settled visa. I also still have my EEA residence card which expires in 2023.

I’d like to travel to Spain on vacation. I’m going without my EU family member because we’re no longer together and are going through a divorce.

Do I need a schengen visa or can I travel with just my residence card and my country’s passport?

The country I’m from doesn’t have visa free access to EU countries.

Thanks for your help.

If you are travelling on your own without your EU sponsor, my understanding is that you need a Schengen visa.
