Distance Masters

Post by Iriny_k » Tue Jan 09, 2007 7:07 pm

Hi guys!
can somebody share experiance, please, about MBA (Distance Mode)? I've got one from the University of Leicester (UK), and wonder if HO will consider it as Master's and give me my 35 points? Any suggestions?
Thanx! Cheers

They do consider..But i suggest go for the NARIC evaluation first. Spending 30 pounds is better then taking a chance.

For ur Info, i got my Indian distance masters evaluated equal to UK Masters.

Believe there would be no problem as University of Leicester is a UK university and one of the schools offering distance learning...

Mode of study does not matter, regular, distance learning, FT, PT as long as recognise by NARIC thean it is acceptable.

Distance learning from Open unievraity for instance is acceptable

in addition...

the masters degree doesnt change even there a change in the way it was delivered - classroom or distance learning#

both mediums provide the same set of instructions albeit the difference in teaching methods...

thanx for the input. i thought it should count as it is a University in the UK. and it does not say on my cetrtificate that it is a distance one. however, i'll need to write it somewhere as i cannot claim UK experiance points for distance..
does NARIC evaluate UK universities also? i though it is only for universities from abroad.

You really don't have to claim points for UK experience just because you have a UK degree, it is best you ignore that part.
It is not compulsory you claim all your points as long as the points you are claiming is suffecient to get you accross the 75 points needed.
