earning issue...??

Post by aj_sp_007 » Tue Jan 30, 2007 5:13 am

I'm applying by end of feb.
my total claim period is dec 05 to nov 06.
now is it ok with the hsmp guideline..which says...

"We will assess your gross salary earnings before tax over a total period of upto 12 months out of the 15 months immediately prior to you application. The earning can be for an 12 month period out of the last 15 months.""

Just confused...am i taking any kind of risk.

The earnings duration can be any 12 months, you are correct on that. However, from a consistency point-of-view, you would need to justify why the earnings period you are not the months immediately preceeding your application.

If you have salary slips for the last 15 months, I would suggest you submit them all and let the Caseworker make the decision of which period to consider.

You thus avoid the risk of being rejected becasue of an issue you never anticipated.

aj_sp_007,

you can claim any of the three periods you mentioned. I successfully claimed from the preceding 15th month to the 4th month, without giving any evidence why I wasn't showing evidence from the preceding last 3 months of the application.

Just make sure you are within the 15 month window and you'll be fine
