Passport stampings as proof of WorkExperience

Post by ND » Mon Jul 26, 2004 7:11 pm

Hi All,

For work experience I am planning to show the following evidence.

1.Employer 1 Reference Letter .(30 months)
2.Current Employer Appointment Letter,Experience Letter,Letter from HR,PaySlips,P60.(16 months)

I am claiming for 25 points under 28 .

But for the first employer I dont have all these I just have the experience letter and a letter from the CEO to American Embassy when I went to US for Business trip.

But my passport shows 2 stampings to US on Business trip with 10 months visa and the company name is also printed on that. Can I attach the PhotoCopy of those 2 stampings as evidence.I thought this is a perfect proof that I worked for that employer.

Please comment on this.

yes you can do that. If you can attest it, it would be much better.

The stamps in question only demonstrate you were admitted to the US to work for a given employer. No info can be derived from such in regards to your responsibilities, tasks, achievements and length of service - consequently submission of the stamps is not helpful/ will be irrelevant to the caseworker.

My response here is based on my interpretation of your Q - apologies if I've got it wrong.

Kaya,

I have Experience Letter from the same Employer describing my Job Title,Roles and Responsibilities and start and end date, personal attrobutes etc.

I dont have any other proofs of my employment with that company except for this stampings and letter from CEO when i went to US.

I thought If the case worker is not satisfied with my experience letter he can atleast see these others evidences and atleast belive that I worked for the employer.

And also the letter from CEO to the American Emabasy describes the project I will be working in US and also states that I should train the rest of the employees here in india once I return back.

What do u say ?

why don't you write to the company(e-mail) asking them for a experience certificate ? [If the co. is still existing] I obtained 4 certificates from my former employers. Thank god they are still working. Regarding one company which is closed down now, I could only show a visiting card and some brochures with my name in it. My consultant said since its way old the case worker will be satisfied by it. Your case is almost similar, thats the reason I said yes. Any way it all depends on the case worker, and his satisfaction.

If you can obtain some cert. from that co. its very good or go with the certified copy of visa stamps [ if you don't have any other choice]

Roam,

Please see my previous post.I have the experience letter from that company but I dont have any other proofs.I worked for this company for 30 months. I thought the case worker will not be satisfied with just the experience letter althought it has all the following details.

1.Start/End Date
2.Job Title.
3.Responsibilies.
4.Projects I worked in India/US.
5.Personal Attributes.

The company is closed last year so I cant bring any other evidences.I was bit worried so I thought its better to make the case worker satisfy in the first go.Thats the reason I wanted to add these stampings as well.

if you have the exp. letter, then why are you so bothered ? That itself is enough. No need of attested copies of visa stamps.

all the best with you application

After looking into the recent rejections i thought they may start asking for more proof ... somehow I was bit worried about this.

But now after seeing your reply I think that should be enough lets see.I will be sending it in a week.

Thanks roams
