Reg: Previous Earnings - UK Salary

Hi All,

I need clarification regarding calculating the previous earnings for 12 months period. I am working in UK for last eight and half months (8.5) i.e., from 15th May 2006 to till date. I am planning to apply for HSMP in this month (Feb 2007).

From 01-Feb-2006 to 14-May-2006 – Dubai – 3.5 months
From 15-May-2006 to 31-Jan-2007 – UK – 8.5 months

I understood from the guidance that I have to consider UK salary to claim the points.
My questions are,

1. Do I need to consider 8.5 months or 9 months or 8 months for total income calculation?
2. In the application they have asked for start & end date of earnings period claimed, in my case what is the start & end dates?

Appreciate your inputs and thoughts on this.
