Supplying Newly Available Evidence - Haven't got ref# yet

Post by bulldozer » Mon Apr 02, 2007 7:33 pm

Hi All,

HO recieved my application on wednesday the 28th and fee was deducted on 29th. I haven't yet recieved my ref#.

I submitted my application with payslips that were NOT printed on company letterhead. I did this in haste since my deadline (based on last 15 months etc) was march. The letter headed payslips have jsut arrived today (a week too late). Can i send these via courier tomorrow. Will they still be considered?

I feel that my application is 100% guaranteed if they consider the newer payslips.

Please let me know on what should i do.

cheers,

sunflower

"You should send in all the required supporting evidence with your application. Failure to do so is likely to lead to the refusal of your application. You may send in additional documents provided they reach the HSMP team before a decision has been considered. Please send any clearly identifiable additional documents directly to the HSMP Team in Sheffield."

Looks like I still have a chance. I will courier it to them ASAP tomorrow.

Hopefully they haven't made a decision yet.

cheers Sunflower

FYI:

I just spoke to HSMP on the phone. They said since my case hadn't yet been assigned to a case worker, they will accept the additional evidence. I have sent it with a covering letter explaining further regarding the evidence.

sending additional evidence

Post by krk969 » Tue Apr 03, 2007 9:08 pm

Could someone/bulldozer please clarify what is the reference we need to give to identify while sending in additional documents.
Will just a reference number and cover letter suffice ?

Also, another query which bothers me, though Im not sure if this is the right thread, but Ill ask it anyways , in case any of you could provide help.
If the currency I earn in is Y and the taxes I pay in local currency which is X. So my salary slips show amount in currency Y but my tax papers show my taxes and salaries in the local currency X , is that OK ?

Appreciate any response from anybody regarding this.

Thank you for the patience !

I was told on the phone to explain in a Cover Letter, why am i sending additional evidence and what my reference number is. I also got the name of the person I spoke with and put that into the document and also refered to the FAQ on their website. Also another thing i did was to ask the person on the phone to make an electronic note on my file that I have had this conversation with them and that additional documents are on the way. This way if my additional evidence for some reason isn't accepted, I have something to fall back on with an appeal.

regarding the Tax question, i guess you can explain this on your covering letter. At the end of the day all salary you have to convert to Pounds anyways (since they banding system is in Pounds). So i guess it should be okay. However I am not 100% sure on this. Best ask experts! or call them up and see what they say.

Another tip is to start calling them from 8.58am (UK time). It went to the voice message the first couple of times, however i got through in 20 seconds bang on at 9am.
