"Income Tax Clearance" while leaving India on HSMP

Hi,

I have another question :)

Is "Income Tax Clearance" still needed while leaving India for long term e.g. 1-2 years on HSMP? Can immigration officer/ Airline in India ask for it or some related documents say IT Returns etc.?

People who are in UK on HSMP from India please let me know whether you went for income tax clearance from Income Tax office before flying to the UK

Just have your PAN card with you when leaving. Genereally they do not ask. But if asked. Then show PAN card.
