English Requirement-Is the format of my Uni letter ok!

Hi all I would be grateful if you can validate the format of my Uni letter, the letter is on Uni headed paper signed but not stamped.I have a Naric letter with a equivalence to British ordinary degree

To whom it may concern
This is to certify XXXX S/O xxxx, has passed B.COM(Pass) examination in the year 2001 vide roll no xxxx , university roll no xxxx from xyz college , University of Delhi.He was awarded the degree of bachelor of Commerce (pass) at the convocation held in 2002.The medium of instrucrion for the above mentioned course both written and spoken was English for the entire 3 years duration.

Just check some post in this forum about university letter format...it tells about the exact format...I believe that words like award was "awarded", "merited" should be there in the certificate...but again u see it is better to go for IELTS(my personal opinion)
