Tier 1 (General) With limited validatity

Hi all,

With Tier 1 (General) Extension is closing from 1 April 2015, I am bit concerned about my visa status. I need your assistance and any suggestion will be helpful.

Below are my details

First Tier 1 Issued : 21-March-2011
First Tier 1 Expiry : 21-March-2013

Second Tier 1 Issued : 01-March-2013
Second Tier 1 Expiry : 01-March-2016

In my second extension, I got the date of issue on which I have applied for my extension which was 01-March-2013.

Since ILR can be applied 28 day before the 5 year period [i.e 4 years 11 Month & 2 day], with my current Tier 1 status, it come out to be 23rd Feb 2016 [21-March-2011 + 4 yrs 11 mth 2days]. This mean I just have 5 days before my visa expiry , under which I have to apply for my ILR.


So my queries are
1) I just have 5 day buffer period under which I can apply for ILR. I feel it is a very short duration. To be on safe side should I apply for 2nd Extension before 01-Apr-2015 i.e one year in advance of my visa expiry?

2) If I apply for 2nd Tier 1 extensions, are there any chance of rejection because currently there is no shortfall in number of days required for ILR.

3) If I go for 2nd Tier 1 extension, do I have to re-apply for my dependent again or they can continue to use their existing visa until 01-March-2016?

4) If I apply for my 2nd Tier 1 extension, how many years of visa will I be getting in my 2nd Tier 1 extension ?
