is it enough to show my property worth 8 lakhs for me , my spouse and a kid .i am also having jewels (worth 9 lakhs) can i show jewels as my asset which can be liquify at any time.

if iam showing the jewels as fund, should i get the estimaion from a jewelry by weighing it.

should i get a letter from a CA to estimate my assets.

pls advice i don't have cash in my hand what should be written in the vaf1 form for

how much money you have :
9 lakhs as jewel can liquify after got ec/at any time

@maharamesh,

dont wrry you can file your EC quickly. keep calm.

1) First if you can quickly browse this forum you can find very less posts who would have shown their jewels as their funds. thats the reason may be you are not getting replies.
Next if you can liquify the jewels after EC why don you do that before EC and show a solid fund in your account. Otherwise borrow money from any agents who can lend money for jewels for a period and show that your soruce of funds are through jewels.

2) If you can go for a loan with a bank using the jewels worth that would be even more convincing fund.

Hope you understand my point.

Cheers

thanks for your quick reply ikon1400,

my main problem is i applied for hsmp in march, april and got it in june. in that time i were working in gujarat. after that i resigned my job and closed all my accounts and came back to chennai to upgrade myself in IT industry(which is the major fault i did.in that time i don't know about this forum and all . i thought that hsmp approval itself is ok and don't think this much of evidence to be shown in entry clearence)

now iam doing a 6 months course and don't know what to fill in present employee details in vaf1 form. i have a releiving letter and all the proofs submitted for HSMP Approval(like ITR for last year, pay slips for 12 months and employer letter stating my salary etc.)

pls advice what to do :roll:

@maharamesh

Now its quite tricky. :roll:

When did u resign your job? The reason behind this is you can fill the application as nothing for current employer and write a cover letter that "you already resigned your current job" keeping in mind that once you get your EC you will have to do that in future. I hope this might solve your problem.

But again would like to knw from other forum members as well for their expertise in this situation or someones real experience.

wish to get some replies soon.

Cheers

Apply with what you have, that's the only way to find out if it will work. It is a good idea to get the jewels valued and show proof of this. I don't see why having resigned your job should be a problem because the whole point of the EC is for you to take up residence in the UK, so you should simply state that you have already resigned in anticipation of migrating to the UK. Also explain that you have spent the past few months upgrading your skills to make yourself more marketable once you get to the uk

thanks OFCHARITY your wordings makes sense.

i want to quote some sentences from Highly Skilled Migrant Programme: Guidance for applicants
Annex C – Point scoring areas

What if your working pattern does not fit
this model?
39. If you have been unable to earn an income
for the last 12 – 15 months, due to
undertaking full-time study, then we will
consider your earnings for a 12-month period
in the 15 months immediately prior to you
becoming a full-time student. We will do this
for both:
• Current full-time students; this can be
12 months in the 15 months
immediately prior to the period of study;
or
• Recent students who have finished a
full-time course within the previous 12
months can use the period of 12 months
in the 15 months immediately prior to
the period of study.
40. If you wish to claim points for earnings from
the period before your full-time study you will
need to provide the evidence of salaried or
self-employed earnings as above, plus an
original signed letter on the headed paper of
the institution showing:
• Your name;
• Dates of study;
• Number of hours studied per week.

is these things help me in my case pls advice.

thanks in advance

what does points scoring have to do with an EC application? From your original posts I gather that you have already applied for and have been approved for HSMP and you now only need to apply for entry clearance. If this is so the quotation you have taken from the guidance notes is irrelevant. For EC you need to prove that you have (among other things)
-Enough funds to support yourself and any dependents once you are in the uk
-You have started making arrangements to find a job in the UK
-You have already been approved for HSMP

@maharamesh,

I doubt you cannot show your husbands account if its not Joint.

you need to ask your husband to transfer the money to your account & in addition he should write a letter stating "hes willfully giving this money to fund your UK trip".

hope this clarifies

cheers
