Appeal

Post by RAJ2007 » Mon Sep 03, 2007 10:37 am

One of my friend has got appeal date on 17th Sept 2007. He ahs got a letter from AIT mentioning the appeal date and also mentioned that he needs to provide any additonal information five days before the appeal date to the AIT and the POU.

His lawyer told him that five days means that he could send the documents by 12th Sept 07. But he thought he needs to send it by 10th Sept 07 (five working days before tha appeal date). Please some one clarify what does five days means?

5 days generally means five working days, the documentation that you get with the notification of the hearing normally clarifies this and I believe it's better to send the documents early rather than risk sending them too late. You can call the AIT on the number listed on the notification and they can clarify this for you.
