Hello,
I tried to read through the posts if someone is having a case similar to me but could not find so putting the question.
I was contracting for a client through and agency for an year and using umbrella company services instead of my own limited company. Umbrella company processed my payroll by invoicing my agency after I provided them the time sheets for each week. I was paid for the hours I worked. My salary slips were generated weekly. I had gone out of UK for personal reasons for 5 continuous working days (1 week) in that year so there was no invoicing for that week and hence there was no payslip.
1. Now firstly since I worked through umbrella company, for visa purposes will I be classed as employed or self-employed for this period?
2. If I am classed as employed (not self-employed) will I need to provide letter from umbrella company to explain the absence? Now what does annual leave imply here?
(and If I am still classed as self employed I believe it suffices if I just provide a letter myself?)
