English Language Requirement - letter from university

Post by purplepple » Tue Oct 02, 2007 4:26 am

Hi guys,

I already sent my HSMP application to HO. Now, I'm getting anxious on the evidence I submitted for the english language requirement.

The letter from my university states the ff: "This is to certify that English is generally used as a medium of instruction in (name of university). This certification is issued upon the request of (name of student)."

It does not mention my degree. Although I did submit my original certificate. I did request my university to include my degree in the letter but they were not willing to change their template. Since the guidelines specified that the letter should contain the degree, I'm getting worried that they will deny my application just on this basis.

Any thoughts on this?

To give me peace of mind, I requested another letter from my university this time, following the specifications of the guidance notes. I sent it to HSMP today stating that this is additional evidence.

At least, I can breathe now....
