Clarifications regarding my absences from the UK

I need your guidance in clarifying if I need a proof of my days of absence from the UK. I am applying for SET(O) under Tier 1 General category. My total days of absence from UK is 138 days.

1. Everytime when I have gone outside UK, I have left UK in a flight at night hours and landed in India the next day. Immigration stamp on my passport is 1 day after I left UK. For example I took a flight to India on 01/06/15, immigration stamp for arrival in India is 02/06/15 and return stamp in UK is for 10/06/15. So shall I calculate my whole days outside UK to be from 01/06/15 to 10/06/15 = 8 days ?

2. During this 5 year period I have not taken a single unpaid leave. My total days of absence in 5 years is 138 days. But I have been outside UK for about 6 occassions and couple of times for 35 and 37 days (these were part of my annual leave entitlement). I am submitting a clarification letter from me explaining my absences as part of my application. Would I need to get something from my organisation HR? If yes what would be the format?

Please help me as I am not sure about these two questions.
