Translation and notary (British Embassy)

Post by tarek131 » Mon Dec 03, 2007 10:14 pm

Hello All,
I have tried to issue graduation certificate from my facaulty (in English) they wanted to issue where my name is (Mohamed) but my name in the passport is (Muhammad) same name with different spelling. Some people adviced me to issue it in Arabic and translate it where I can write the correct name. Is it ok ot sent translated Bsc. degree certificate?

My second question is, I got list of translators from the British embassy in Cairo (http://www.britishembassy.gov.uk/servle ... 7967350655), does the mean that this list of translator are (formal and can be accepted when I apply for HSMP), when I received the translated document the translation office advice me to get it stamp from the embassy (is this the notory service) (please check the following link)

I'm going to apply next month and I'm living in UK right now, do you think it is better to get these document translated in UK to be on the safe side?
