half time salaried and half time contractor

Post by zhassan » Sat Dec 22, 2007 2:33 am

Hi Geeks,
I am planning to apply for HSMP by end of Jan08, I will claim 30 points for Bachelor and 45 points fro Past earnings.

1:- I have NARIC letter to prove my MSC degree is equivalent to UK Bachelor degree.

2:- My past 12 month income is as , until 15th OCT07 as Full time salaried employee and then from 15th Oct07 till now contracting in Industry and believe by mid Jan08, my earning will be sufficient to claim 45 points.

Now my question is in Australia the Financial year is July to June and I have tax return till July07 but can't get next one until July 2008. My my Salary slips cleary state the base income and withdrawn income tax. Will it be sufficient proof. I have seen that in HSMP form it's clearly mentioned to provide Tax return for the period of claimed past earnings.
So what I can provide at the moment

a:- Partial Tax return from Australian Taxation office (Jul07)
b:- Invoices to Employment/Recruitment Ageny by my Account management company and salary transferred to my account by account management company.
c:- Contract beteen myself and employer through employment agency
d:- bank statement where salary is being transferred.

Are these proofs are enough to support my earnings or what else do I need to provide?

Please advise.

Regards,
Zia-ul-Hassan

Got some clue in the HSMP guidelines. But looks like if one can't provide standard proof of his claim for a certain category, then he has to provide even more proofs to support his claim, weired.

Anyway probably the objective is to avoid the forged/fake documentation.

Cheers,
