Urgent query on Break in employment, and final confirmation

Dear folks,

One of my friends is planning to apply for HSMP tomorrow, and need a final confirmation from you folks about his case. :)

It is as below:

This is regarding a Query regarding Previous earnings section - Payslips :

I am claiming for the period 01-February-2007 to 31-January-2008 of which I had worked with Infosys Technologies Limited, India from 26th July 2004 to 06th July 2007 and been working with IBM India Private Limited, India from 16th July 2007 till date.
My Gross salary for the period claimed (from both the employers ) falls under the GBP 6000+ category with the country code as D.

Two things i need to get confirmation :
1) I have got the payslips signed and stamped from both of the companies Infosys and IBM except for the month of July 2007.However the Pay for the month of July 2007(from 16th july to 31st july) is reflected as Basic Arrears in the August 2007 Pay slip as I have joined IBM India Private Limited on 16th July 2007, which does not cover the monthly salary period (31 days).

2) There is an employment gap of 9 days between 6th July 2007, which is my last working day at Infosys Technologies Limited and 16th July 2007, which is my date of joining at IBM India Private Limited. However the the cumulative earnings total for the period claimed is still meet the earnings threshold claimed against as per Annexure C point 28 of the HSMP guidance document.

Please provide your valuable information about this.

Hi FC:

I'm not sure what the question is.

According to your second comment, there is still enough income to meet the threshold, even with the 9 day gap. If there's a gap, it's fine, as long as you still have enough income to meet whatever criteria you need.

I'm somewhat confused about your first comment.. Are you saying that the pay receipt for August includes both July & August?
Or are you saying that you are paid one month in arrears from July through January? If you're saying that you're paid one month in arrears, make sure you include pay receipts that cover all of the income earned during the period.

I feel you have sufficient income (as you mentioned) for the period Feb-June & Aug - Jan

So you can just claim that you have earned GBP 6000 in 11 months.

HO is not bothered if you have a gap in employment.

You can submit the proofs for 11 months accordingly.
