Can spouse apply for visa with one month pay stub

Post by Strong » Mon May 19, 2008 10:22 am

Any one kindly advise me

My wife got HSMP visa in Feb-2008, she had flown to Uk in April last week and started working from May first week. She got some advance from employer aroungd 3000 GBP and has signed on apartment lease agreement.

I would like to apply in the 1st week of June by that time she will get first month pay stub.
My question is Can i apply in june 1st week or Do in need to wait till 1st week of August in oder to show three months pay stubs ( Isit necessary).
Do I come under Tier 1 scheme even thogh my wife got EC before April 1st.

Thank you

Its not about 3 months' pay stubs. If you have been maintaining sufficient balance in your account for over last 3 months then you can apply immediately.

Your country of residence will determine whether you can apply for a dependent visa under HSMP or under Tier 1.

The minimum balance for maintenance funds is a Tier 1 requirement. You don't need to show sponsor's payslips or rental agreements in this case.

Under HSMP application on the other hand, one is usually asked for 3-4 months payslips and bank statements, and also a rental agreement to confirm accommodation from the sposnor.

I am assuming that you are an Indian resident.

You won't get the visa unless you meet the qualifying criteria .. simple! Can't you use funds from an Indian bank account if you have maintained the minimum balance in that for 3 months? Does VFS say that they want the bank balance in your wife's name and in a UK bank??

I think you will have to apply under the Tier 1 rules inspite of the fact that your wife got her EC before 01-Apr. You may want to clarify this from VFS though.
