Tier 1 in UK

Dear Friends,

I am currently in India. I will be in UK on a business visa.

If I can apply for Tier-1 in UK, What is the procedure to do so?.

I am sorry to be uninformed.

Sorry mate, you cannot apply for Tier1 being in UK on business visa.

being in Uk you can only apply if

Switching is permitted from applicants who currently hold leave as:
• as a Highly Skilled Migrant,
• as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant,
• as an Innovator,
• as a Participant in the Fresh Talent: Working in Scotland Scheme,
• as a Participant in the International Graduates Scheme (or its predecessor, the Science and Engineering Graduates Scheme),
• as a Postgraduate Doctor or Dentist,
• as a Student,
• as a Student Nurse,
• as a Student Re-Sitting an Examination,
• as a Student Writing-Up a Thesis, or
• as a Work Permit Holder.

:? If only people would make an effort to read through the BIA website and Tier 1 guidance notes before they ask such naive question. :cry:

After all, don't the senior members also read the same documents and paste extracts from those very documents / information publicly available .. like above.

dependant

hello

need some advice...

i am on hsmp...will be applying for tier 1....my son was born in the uk...how do i fill up the form...

in the form it asks about port of entry ....where EC clearance was taken etc...he was born here so we just applied for his visa in the country as a dependant...he is a dependant on my wife's visa at the moment ....she is on Fresh Talent visa.


any suggestions........

With your wife on Fresh Talent visa and your child as her dependent, I don't believe you can include either of them as your dependents from within UK when you apply for switching / extending under Tier 1.

I believe both of them will have to return to your home country and apply for EC as your dependents once you have been granted the Tier 1 visa.
