Hi,

I applied for EC on 29th July 2008 with HSMP approval letter. I have an offer to start work from 1st Sept 2008. But BHC Chennai is still processing my application. Can anyone guide on the current timelines?
My employer has extended start date to 16th Sept now. But will I get EC by that time??

Did you try contacting BHC Chennai through email or phone call?

Yes, I did and got the following reply..
"Your application is yet to be assessed by the Entry Clearance Officer as it is following a queue. It will be assessed as soon as it reaches the end of the queue. "
My worry is whether I will get an answer by the 16th Sept.

If it is waiting to be assigned to ECO then wait for 2 more weeks.
