Enquiry - Fixed Deposits receipts as maintenance fund proof

Hi,

This is with regard to application for Tier1 General Visa from outside UK (from India).

For maintenance fund proof, can i furnish the Fixed Term Deposit (FD) receipts of mine, present in the bank in my native country instead of the bank balance present in savings bank account ?

I can furnish a letter from the bank (with which i have the FD) that

a. The funds amount to £2800
b. The funds can be liquidated at any time
c. The value of the FD never fell below £2800 during the 3 months that you had the FD
d. You have held the FD for 3 months.

Please let me know if this is OK. I appreciate your reply.
