Apply Tier 1 with dependent

Hi, Guys

I am currently live in NZ and wish to apply Tier 1 - general HSMP and my wife wish to apply as the dependent at the same time with me. I have a few questions regarding this, can you please help me? thanks.

1. Do We both need to apply online to have biometric data taken in NZ?

2. Shall we includes two applications and two cover letters with support evidences, but putting everything in one envelope? Do you have any good template for the dependent's cover letter?

3. The Maintenance funds for both of us (£2,800 + £1,600) is under my bank account. Is this okay?

4. If these applications are approved, do we still need apply entry clearance visa?
