Life after ILR and British Citizenship

Post by CITYWORKER » Tue Oct 14, 2008 12:32 pm

Hi All,

I know that once you get ILR (permanent residency) in UK and if you live UK for more than 2 years you will loose your permanent residency.

- Does anyone know whether there is such limited applicable once you become british citizen.

For example if I leave UK for 5-10 years after getting my british citizenship will I still remain british citizen and can come back to UK to live here permanently.

- Other query I have is, Can I live and work in Europe on the basis of british citizenship without any need of EU work permit?

Regards

Yes! But no appreciate that if you are not married to (or in Civil Partnership with) a British Citizen, when applying for your British Citizenship you need to have the intention to continue to live in the UK. But OK, your plan might change later.
