Submit Additional Docs to BHC India for my Tier1 Application

Post by vinkhub1 » Wed Oct 15, 2008 7:44 pm

I have recently applied for Tier 1, here are my details:

VFS: Delhi
Applied on: 10-Oct-08
Status online: The application has been forwarded to the BHC on 10-Oct-08.

I submitted my 5 bank statements - 3 original and 2 duplicates (stamped & signed NOT ON LETTER HEAD, with visiting card of bank official issuing those). These 2 statements show 6 salary deposits (previous earning rqmt).

VFS lady did ask me the reason and I told her that - I lost one and the latest one is still awaited). But she didn't highlight that the application can be refused because the 2 duplicates are not on letterhead.

Now, I have received my latest original statement and also I can get the other one on bank letter-head. On asking VFS they told me to get in touch with BHC Shanti Path/visqry.newdelhi@fco.gov.uk.

Moreover, my employer's HR Manager received a call on 14-Oct-08 for verification. So, I think its in verification stage.

I dropped a mail on 15-Oct-08 to them (BHC) but no reply so far.

Any idea, where and to whom can I send the addl. documents? If I visit BHC Shanti Path, will they even let me in?

I called up BHC, Shantipath.

The person was helpful.

He said that the best would be to send the originals in registered-post mentioning the passport, ref# and other personal details. I should address these to:

Visa Officer,
British High Commission
Chanakyapuri
New Delhi 110021

I called them up at this number:
Main switchboard: (91) (11) 2687 2161
