Fixed deopsit as proof of maintainence funds and edu proof

Hi All

I am new to the process of applying for this tier-1
i have following questions
i hold fixed deposit worth 3 lakh.
can it be shown as proff of maintainence funds
when i submit my qualification proof.
do i need to submit all my marksheet or even if i submit my degree will it be enough.
