My Masters Degree from Pakistan -One Last Query

Post by khan » Wed Apr 14, 2004 11:14 am

Dear all,

Sorry for bothering u again n again. I have one last (hopefully) query. I have done MSC in Analytical Chemistry from Univ of Karachi, Pakistan. I have spent 4 years to complete this degree,i-e, 3 years to complete BSC (Hons) and 1 year for MSC after BSC (Hons).
My question is, shall I consider myself a Bachelors or Masters degree holder for HSMP application???

I did try to browse the web site http://www.naric.org.uk/brochures/icbrochure.pdf
but its asking for money. PLEASE HELP :? :? :?

Please reply soon.

Thnx
Khan

khan,

You may wish to review this earlier post which describes the concept of Pakistani qualifications vis a vis those for the UK. On first impression and IMHO your qualification appears to be equal to a UK Bachelors = 15 points. As always the definitive answer would be from NARIC - think of the expenditure as an investment for a better future on HSMP. If you still don't want to spend any money then take a risk and send in your application as is - I hope we don't see a post from you in a couple of months saying 'help I got rejected..they said my MSc was only 15 points'. Perhaps checking with the local British Council might give you a better idea of how your qualification is considered.

Good Luck
