EARNING PERIOD PLEASE HELP

I always receive my salary 2 weeks after the end of the month, ie precisely on th 15th of the next month. If it falls into a weekend, I will receive it on the 13th/14th of the next month. My January 2008 salary was paid on 15/02/08 while my December salary was on 15/01/09. The payslip always show the period of earning and the payment date.

I will be applying for Tier 1 extension very soon and will be claiming points from 01/01/08 to 31/12/08. I am confused as to which bank statement I need to supply to show 12 months period such that it will not go beyond the period for which I am claiming point. My December salary was paid on 15/01/09 which is outside my earning period.

Please I need contributions.

I have a suggestion,though I may not be right.You may consider the following
1. Reg claim period:claim period from say Jan 15,2008 to Jan 15,2009. I dont think the claim period should always be from 01/01/**** to 31/**/****.In which case you can show 12 months

2. If you receive salary exactly after 2 weeks from the start of the month and if it is consistent then it is not a problem.If your salary is credited to the bank and the description of the salary credited is specified correctly eg if you recieve salary on Jan 15 for Dec but the bank account details specifies "salary for the month of Dec" then it should be fine.

If I claim from 15/01/08 to 15/01/09, I will be missing out on my earning from 01/01/08 which is included in my payslip for the month of january 2008. Also, if I claim till 15/01/09, I will be missing out on my earning from 10/01/09 to 14/01/09 for which I am yet to get paid for.

Secondly, the payments into my bank account do not show the periods of earning but are shown only on the payslips.
