Questions on dependants online application form and payment

Hi,
I am the main applicant applying with my dependant from US. I understand that I there is no additional fee for dependant application if it is done along with the main applicant. However, the online application does not let me schedule an appointment for the biometrics unless I make the visa payment. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue of double payment?
