NATWEST BANK STATEMENT

Post by m_kamran » Sat Jan 31, 2009 9:32 pm

Hi,

I have applied for Tier1 General scheme on 14th January within UK.

But I am worried and confused because I have submitted last month bank statement which was printed, signed and stamped
by natwest branch. Today lady at HO told me that we will not accept this as a prove of previous earning and maintenance fund.

Is there anyone else who had submitted printed, singed and stamped bank statement from Natwest branch? My friend did same thing with Post Study Work Scheme
and got the visa.

Thank

Have you provided statements for all 12 months you are claiming for and for a three month period for maintenance? One statement alone will not suffice.

Does your statement meet all the other guidlines as per the application?

I have provided full 12 moths bank statement. Most of the bank statement was original but only last 12 days were printed, stamped and signed by natwest branch.

Hiya,

Natwest is my bank. I had the same problem when I applied for Tier 1.

If you go to a Natwest Branch in a "high fraud" area (this is possibly all of east London) then they will not stamp your statements. This is what I have been told from a Nat West Bank official.

I got rejected from 4 Natwest Branches. Eventually I had to go to the branch where I opened my account (in Birmingham). They stamped my statements. They also initialed them. The bank manger would not sign her name. She only initialed it and didn't identify herself or write her name below. I wasn't sure if the home office would accept it. I mean, I could have initialed it and the result would have been the same!

Anyhow, go my Tier 1 with no prob.

Keep going into different branches until you can find someone to stampt your statements.

Alternatively, you can back order up to 12 months of your original statements. This takes about 10 days, so prepare in advance. I did that as well. The statements I received were identical to the original ones that I lost.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Ana

I have recently sent my documents for Tier 1 extention. I have sent 12 statements from Natwest bank (Original). But the maintenance fund statment was printed, singed and stamped from Natwest Official. I dont feel any problem in it. I get these statement quarterly and if I submitt origianl, it would be more than two months old, therefore, I had no option but ask the bank to print, sign and stamp it, which they did, without any hesitation. Now the question is, if you get quarterly statement, how can you submitt the latest (not more than one month old) for your maintenance funds?

I would ask you to call HO and tell them that you are sending the new statements. In the meanwhile, go to the bank ans ask them to provide you the 'Duplicate' statments or official letter that your submitted statments are geniune.

Hi slugmeister,

Did you ask your branch to print and then stamp and sign? Because I my understanding is that HO only accept if bank branch print for you.

Yes, I asked the bank branch to print, stamp and sign each page. The branch would not sign. They would only print and stamp. Eventually, I convinced them to initial the pages. I'm not sure if that worked in my favour or not.
