urgent queries on preparing documents

Post by iremedyu » Tue Mar 17, 2009 2:59 pm

Hello all,

I'm South Korean nationals and applying Tier 1(general) in Ireland. I've submitted a application online and have an appointment with UK Embassy next week(27th, March). As I'm a bachelors degree holder, I'm trying to apply it by end of March. Here's my questions.

1. I'm visiting and submitting all documents on 27th,March. Does it make my application valid regarding bachelors degree holder?

2. Regarding 3 months fund maintenance, as far as I know, the bank statement must be printed within 7 days before submission. Does the submission date mean the day of visiting the Embassy? So, date covering 19th,December ~ 20,March will be fine? Because the bank says 5 working days to printed it and send it by post. Does the printed statement by bank also need signed and stamp as well?

3. Regarding English Language, I have a bachelors degree in a college in Ireland. In point-calculator, the my college's appearing and also NARIC database. I have a original award certificate and transcript. The questions is 'Do I need a school letter to prove that the course was taught in English?' although 'UK Boarder Embassy' webpage says

Documentary evidence for a degree taught in English
For this section, the country in which you took your degree determines how you qualify.
If you took your degree in one of the countries listed below, we will assume the degree has been taught in English. Therefore the documentary evidence you supplied for your qualification will satisfy the English language requirement.
Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, St Christopher (Kitts) and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States of America

Thanks for your advise in advance.

This has become 30 days. Please cross check with the guidance notes.

If your university appears in the Points Based calculator, then you do not need to submit the english language document.
