Name Issues

For some reason my passport has an abbreviated version of my name! For example say for instance my full name is Christopher James Thompson, i have on the passport Chris Thompson!

This has not been an issue, but all my documents for acedemic points have my full christian name on them. So it states Christopher James Thompson, Not the Chris Thompson on my passport!

I have just applied for extention for HSMP into Tier 1 Non JR and wanted to know if this can cause an issue.

The fact that i have already applied with the same documentation initially and had no issues (i got my HSMP in 5/2007) made me think it wouldnt be a problem, but i just wanted to know if i should do anything.
